Yeshivat Darchei Yonatan faculty consists of a diverse team of experienced, English-speaking rabbis and teachers, providing students with abundant opportunities to connect with Torah figures who can help them achieve their intellectual and spiritual goals.


Rabbi Yehoshua Weitzman


Rabbi Yehoshua Weitzman has been the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Ma’alot Yaakov since 1989, today considered one of the largest Hesder yeshivot in Israel. A disciple of Rav Kook, Rabbi Weitzman served as Rosh Kollel at Yeshivat HaGolan. Regarded as spearheading the revival of the teaching and study of Torat Eretz Yisrael, Rabbi Weizmann founded the Nachalat Shay association for teaching Yahadut, El-Ami Batzafon, an outreach movement, as well as Panim el Panim, a movement for the unity of Am Yisrael. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of Bnei Akiva Yeshivot and Ulpanot Center.

Rabbi Shalom Weisberg

Gemara and Machshava

Raised in Jerusalam, married to Yedidah, and father of 6, Rabbi Weisberg currently resides in Neve Daniel. He studied at Yeshivat Hakotel and served in the Nahal Brigade of the IDF. He holds a BA in Education and is studying towards a Master's degree in Jewish Thought.

He is the Ram of Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Orot Yehuda in Efrat, and teaches at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) and Yeshivat Torah v’Avodah (YTVA).


Rabbi Arik Speaker

Machshava and Tanach

Raised in Antwerp, Belgium, Rabbi Speaker is married to Efrat, father of 5 and currently resides in Tekoa. He studied at Yeshivat Hesder Maale Adumim and served in the Nahal Brigade of the IDF. He holds a Law degree from Bar Ilan University and a Master’s degree in American Jewry from the University of Haifa. He served as rabbi in Zurich, Switzerland. He is the head of the Mechina Olamit program of Bnei Akiva Olamit at Kibbutz Migdal Oz, and Director of the Education Department of Bnei Akiva Olamit.

Rabbi Ari Haber

Rabbi Ari Haber

Rosh Yeshiva

Raised in Jerusalem, Rabbi Haber is married to Aliza, father of 2, and currently resides in Efrat. He attended Yeshivat Hesder Maalot and Yeshivat Hakotel. During his IDF service, he fought in the artillery corps, and is a military rabbi during miluim duty. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Teaching Certificate from Bar Ilan University. Rabbi Haber earned his smicha from the IDF Rabbinate. He previously held the position of dormitory rabbi at Bar Ilan University. He is the Head of the Beit Midrash of Mechina Olamit of Bnei Akiva Olamit at Kibbutz Migdal Oz.

Rabbi Bezalel Daniel

Gemara and Halacha

Raised in Efrat, married to Sara, and father of 6, Rabbi Daniel served in the Golani unit of the IDF, and learned at Yeshivat Hesder in Yeruham. He is Av Beit Din at Beit Din Eretz-Hemda-Gazit, and a Dayan at Beit Din L’Memunot in Efrat. He is the head of the Moreno program for halachic study at Eretz Hemdah Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, and Rabbi of Reishit Dganecha Synagogue in Efrat.

Alan Feld

Alan Feld is the Founder and Managing Partner of Vintage Investment Partners, Israel’s leading venture fund of funds, secondary fund and late stage co-investment team. He has extensive experience in communal advancement, as the Founding Chairman of the PowerInDiversityIsrael Initiative, Founding Chairman of StartUp Jerusalem, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Be’eri project, an initiative of the Hartman Institute, former board member of the Israel Democracy Institute and the Jewish Funders Network (US), as well as Associate Chairman of the Canadian Jewish Congress, President of the North American Jewish Students Network and a board member of the Canada Israel Committee and Kolot (Jerusalem). He holds an MBA from York University in Toronto, an L.L.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and a B.A. in Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto.


Avichai Meyer


Raised in Jerusalem, Avichai Meyer is married to Anael, father of 5 and currently resides in Efrat. He attended Yeshivat Hesder Maale Adumim and served in the Golani unit of the IDF. He previously was the coordinator of the program for students from abroad at Yeshivat Maale Adumim, and served as the informal education coordinator at Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Netiv Meir. He served as emissary of the Jewish Agency and Bnei Akiva Olamit in the Netherlands, and was the director of Mechina Olamit of Bnei Akiva Olamit at Kibbutz Migdal Oz.

Rabbi Azarya Berzon

Rabbi Azarya Berzon

Gemara and Chassidut

Rabbi Azarya Berzon is the Rav and Rosh Kollel of the Emek Learning Center. He served as Ram at the Beis Medrash L’Talmud of Lander College for Men and in Yeshivat Hesder Ma’aleh Adumim, as well as senior Ram at Yeshivat Sha’alvim. He founded Yeshiva Sha’arei Mevaseret Zion, where he served as Rosh Yeshiva. Rabbi Berzon also founded Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim for women. Most recently he has served as Co-Rosh Kollel of the Yeshiva University Kollel in Toronto.
